You can also brush your teeth with it occasionally and they do get cleaner and whiter.

I'm a monster for brushing my thumb over my toothbrush in running water.

My problem is not the tooth brush head but instead the inside void of the disposable head connector. That's what gets funky and discolored. I'll hit it with hydrogen peroxide and a q-tip to clean it up and shake the beejeezus out of it to dislodge gunk. Second time I just replace the head.

Quote from theroguehero : Having an immune system, and being immune to the bad affects of exposure to nasty bacteria or viruses, are not the same thing. Just because it's called an "immune" system does not mean you are immune. It's amazing people don't really realize this.
If you have an immune system you are not immune to everything true ...but you can take some risk in life that makes life liveable...when I feel I need to disinfect my own private toothbrush for fear of illness.. I believe I would have a mental illness not a physical one...not accounting for a diagnosed immunodeficiency.

Has anyone seen the video that shows all the particles that fly out when you flush your toilet? I'm seriously not a germpahobe (much too lazy) but that video got even me to think that maybe stashing away the toothbrush is a good idea.

And that's why one should always close the lid before flushing, and to turn on the vent fan if available.
