If you've ever read or heard of "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay, this book is similar in concept (i.e., illnesses and diseases are energetic patterns caused by emotional blockages). The difference is this book is a far more comprehensive healing resource as it's packed with all sorts of valuable information and practical tools to use for self-healing. While I don't like the title because there is no "secret" that anyone has been keeping from us, the book truly is a great resource. I'm guessing it was titled as such because the publisher is the same company that published "The Secret," and in their research I imagine they determined that people are drawn to learn about what is so-called "secret." In any event, if you have any interest in this subject, I highly recommend this book.

Here's a quote from the book:

"You have the opportunity to work with thoughts, words, feelings, beliefs, vibrations, touch, movement, visualization, and breath to create changes in your body and in your life. Remember, pain and discomfort is your body's way of communicating that you need to make changes. The more you are in tune with your body, the easier, more joyful, and more rewarding your life will be. You have the opportunity to tune into your own Divine Wisdom and receive all the guidance you require. This guidance is not only relevant to your health but to your relationships, your career, your mental and emotional well-being, and your spiritual expansion."

I don’t understand why this book is so highly rated. It’s complete made up garbage. Seriously anybody could have just made this up.

Apparently any problems you’re having with fertility or vagina can be solved by smiling at your vagina in the mirror and wearing pink or magenta underwear. Oh and apparently blind people just don’t want to see the truth. The book also states that anyone with a birth defect is here to punish their parents. What a piece of garbage.

The illustrious surgeon and author Bernie Siegel blessed the author with a foreword to this book, which constitutes an invaluable guidebook for those wishing to heal the emotional, mental and energetic causes of their ailments.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to finish this book before having to return it to the library, but it doesn’t matter, because it proved to be so excellent that I have decided to purchase it.

The author, Inna Segal, was seriously ill as a child, and by the time she was twenty, she was in great pain and could hardly walk. When refused treatment by her chiropractor, she realized that she would have to heal herself. She began to connect with her emotions and focus on her breath, and asked Divine Healing Intelligence to help her. Within three weeks the pain was gone from her back, and subsequently she worked on healing her skin, digestive problems and anxiety.

People then began to ask Inna to help them heal, and this began a successful and amazing practice of healing others.

This book presents the essence of Inna’s healing methods. I have not previously encountered such a marvellous and useful handbook filled with precise instructions for healing both physical and emotional problems and working with colour and body systems. And if you are well you can use the healing processes to further enhance your “health, well-being, intuition and success”.

Inna presents ten basic principles for healing:
1)Commit to making your health a priority
2)Feel your emotions instead of keeping them buried
3)Breathe consciously
4)Eat healthfully and consciously
5)Move your body
6)Listen to your body
7)Be creative
8)Add more colour to your life
9)Make gratitude your attitude
And finally,
10) Make laughter a priority

The book contains a comprehensive, alphabetical “guide to physical disorders and suggestions for healing” beginning with “Abdomen” and ending with “Wrists”.

There is also an equally comprehensive, alphabetical list of ailments from “abdominal cramps” to “wounds”, explaining their emotional/mental causes.

For example;

“Diabetes, Type 1 – Needing sweetness, attention, love, and care. Feeling insecure, unsure of yourself, overly needy, and reliant on others. Self-centered and focused on your inadequacies. Wanting to appear indispensable to others. Listening to, and surrounding yourself with too much negativity.”

Inna has also composed a chapter about understanding and healing emotions that cause disease. This includes a process to identify and release unhealthy emotions, and an alphabetical list of negative emotions including anger, guilt, shame etc.

A chapter on colour comprises a description of what the various colours can be used for, and the dangers of over-use of a particular one.

A final chapter deals with the functions of the various body systems and the causes of their breakdown.

This is an amazing book and I can’t wait to begin to work seriously with all my various ailments according to Inna’s instructions. This book really speaks to me. However, you/I will need to work consistently with each problem. Inna states that some problems can be healed quickly while others will require persistence. I highly recommend this indispensable book.

The Secret Language of Your Body is the book I have been looking for. For years, ever since I came to see my Fibromyalgia related symptoms as my body’s way of trying desperately to get my attention, I have been looking for a book that would help clarify what exactly my symptoms meant. Over the years, I’ve found and gathered bits and pieces but nothing as substantial as The Secret Language of Your Body.

The Secret Language of Your Body begins with the author’s story of how she healed her own chronic back pain. Her suffering was incredible but no one could seem to help. Then, she had an epiphany. She had to help herself and her body was going to help her.

The rest of the book contains several sections where people can look up specific symptoms, body parts, body systems, and conditions. Each entry gives a little description. I have to say these descriptions are very in depth. I looked up a few things and read information that has literally taken me years to figure out about myself, just sitting there in black and white waiting for me to find this book.

Every living person should have this book only wish that one day everyone will understand that this is science and love is science and the religion is love and that energy of love heals everything emotional and in turn heals the physical. So interesting and so wish everyone got IT!

This is the most practical, life-changing book I've ever read on energy healing. I've read many books on this and related topics over the years and own four of Carolyn Myss's books; so you could say I've studied energy healing qutie a bit, particularly as it relates to emotions and even past lives.

The way Inna Segal presents the information is this book is by far the most digestible and useful for excavating the troubles that ail you. Perhaps it's timing for me also, but I notice that as I journal and study other topics related to spirituality and even astrology, that I keep referring back to this book with Aha! moments.

She has divided this book into sections, namely: Disorders; Ailments; Processes (to release emotions); Color (utilizing); and Body Systems, all with a handy index. I tabbed those sections for easy reference and highlighted all the conditions and their associated emotions, and was able to track a pattern of events throughout my life, when these issues began, what they resulted from, and how to work on releasing them! I know it's sounds pretty OCD but if you have been burdened with multiple conditions and been victimized by the "medical mafia" (aka. the Western medical system) to no avail, and are ready to take control of your own health and sanity, I highly recommend it! And I highly recommend this book.

I can't say I'm truly "finished" with this book because even though I've read all of it, I use it regularly like a reference manual. Now, I listen to my body and pay attention to the subtle signals it gives me when I'm feeling uncomfortable physically or mentally. There is always a correlation. It's almost fun when you figure that out.

I enjoyed this book. It gives a simple approach to healing our bodies . It gives gives a freeing sense of taking control over own health,, mind, body, spirit issues. I most appreciated the lists given and found them very complete. I also liked the integration of color in healing. At times it did feel a little incomplete on thoughts and such but I was still able to understand where the author was coming from. I just wished at times that she would have gone a little deeper.

This book is more for people who have basic understanding of meditation and intuition and want to start trying to apply more specific exercises to their body and health (or other peoples). It covers a wide range of physical ailments and anatomy, but it also includes emotions and color as well. Though I'm only just starting to apply it to my life, I feel like it is a good guide for developing more specific practice and focus as well as sensitivity and intuition.

This is a good resource, but I think it isn't as informative as Feelings Buried Alive Never Die, yet it covers pretty much the same material. I do like how she incorporates color into her imagery.

"Many of us suppress our emotions unconsciously as a protective mechanism, because on some level we believe that we cannot handle the pain and multitude of feelings we are experiencing. I have found in my own and also clients' experiences that emotions do not disappear simply because we don't feel them or we suppress them. In fact, emotions often stay in the body until they are recognised, acknowledged and released. If this does not happen, dense and heavy emotions can contribute to disease and dysfunction."

Insightful

I had heard of this book from a colleague before but I didn’t think to get it. Then Kindle had a deal so I got it and read it in less then a week. So many insight into what your body is telling you. If you’re into healing, feeling good or help people do either of these then go ahead and read this book. Each section has lots of insights and I didn’t know there was so many ways to heal with color. To heal takes work and the author says that so believe it and you can heal.

I first found this at the library. After a week of diving in to the information I knew I needed a copy of my own. It's wonderful at connecting the dots in my wellbeing (or moments where I'm disconnected from it) and has been invaluable in my life. I've also purchased multiple copies for family and they love it too. As a qualified health practitioner, I prefer to put emphasis on this kind of 'treatment' for both myself and my clients.

When looking for the core issue of our pain or health challenges, this book gives insight into emotions or stored trauma that may cause dis-ease. A great companion to other books (such as books by Louise Hay) that speak to recurring physical challenges where we can't find answers. The author offers insight into alternative ways to heal and release issues keeping us stuck. Excellent read for those open to to healing.

Just brilliant

I have used this on myself and friends and family. Without fail, regardless of the ailment the causes seem to be incredibly accurate. From a friend with cancer to a cyst or frequent reoccurring pains, if you understand the cause of your stress you can tackle that rather than putting a plaster on the symptoms. I wish I'd understood this earlier in life!

It’s a reference book which provides knowledge of how our different body parts react to different emotions and how we can heal ourselves. This book also is a introduction to authors other books and healing methodology which you can pursue once you get the introduction in this book

Much like Louise Hay's You Can Heal Your Life I reference this book as often and possibly more than You Can Heal You Life and in fact the wisdom in both books is a sort-of-guiding light in how I live and let go.

A phenomenal resource for those who understand the mind and body connection. It helped me a lot. Above all I appreciate the free recording of healing meditation which was like a deep dive therapy session every time I took the time for it.
